Safeway Offers $4 Prescriptions
Safeway has made history as the first grocery store chain in Maryland to offer $4 generic prescription drugs. Now, consumers will have another option besides stores like Wal-mart, Target, and BJ’s Wholesale Club to buy prescription drugs at the $4 price. The $4 generic prescription drugs will begin being offered today. Over 300 of them will be $4. Though many consumers will surely appreciate the cost savings, how beneficial this is to individual consumers depends on whether the generic drugs they need are on the list.
Group for Maryland Bloggers
Guess what? What’s New in Maryland is a member of the Maryland Blogger Alliance. Yes, many people have to wonder what that long list of blogs on this website is so I thought I’d explain.
So what is is the Maryland Blogger Alliance and what does membership entail? Well, the Maryland Blogger Alliance is simply a group of bloggers who have something to do with Maryland, live in Maryland, blog about Maryland-related topics, etc. Membership means listing the Maryland Blogger Alliance on your website and having your blog listed on the website of other Maryland Blogger Alliance members in return.
Why Join?
The benefits are numerous including being aware of more Maryland-related blogs, getting your blog name out there, and having the opportunity to take part in something called the Carnival of Maryland a couple times a month, where you can submit one of your posts to be mentioned along with other Carnival of Maryland submitters on the website that’s hosting the carnival. Sometimes members of the Maryland Blogger Alliance host. Last week, it was the Baltimore History Examiner.

No Drought This Year
It seems like previous years all you’d have to do was turn on the radio or news around summertime and you’d hear the word drought. This year you might hear the word drought, but you’ll most likely also hear the word no in front of it.
With the rain Maryland’s been having this spring and past winter, we’re entering this summer not being in a drought for once. A change from previous summers when the state would receive the occasional thunderstorm at night but little rain during the day. Maryland’s had its share of rain this year and more is predicted for this week.
